Treasurers (Diana Nelson) Corner:

  • Treasurer read the financial report : accepted as read

Chaplains Corner (Ron Herndon) Sick Call update:

  • Jarhead had hernia operation. Sore but doing good
  • Sandy Harper still at her mothers. Donation envelop at bar for Sandy’s lost wages
  • Duane and Asonya’s son to have biopsy on kidney
  • Richard Carpenter needs prayers. Doctors are giving him three months

Veteran’s Coordinator (John Metz)

  • Next Banana Run will be March 17
  • Thanked everyone who was at Don Schenkles funeral

Co-Director’s (Jerry Berry) Corner:

  • Poker Run Discussion:
    1. Short meeting to be held after ALR meeting

Commander’s (Rick Babinger) Corner:

  • March 16th Rib Feed 5PM ($12.00 all you can eat) and horseshoe tournament 1 PM
  • May 3rd will participate in city wide garage sale. Need to start collecting items
  • Will have another Karoke on March 22nd
  • Need people to step up and volunteer for Legion Officer positions

S.A.L Commander’s (Jerry Armstrong) Corner:

  • Everyone needs to pay their dues
  • Nominations for officers were held at meeting with elections in April
  • Drawing for AR15 won by Mark Galvan (going to use for wild pig hunting)
  • Work day April 14th

Ladies Auxiliary Corner : (Report given by Asonya)

  • Pie auction was big success
  • Nominations were held for new Officers

Fundraising Chairperson:

  • No Report

Patriot Guard (Terry Houck) Corner: Not present

  • Everything quiet

Director’s (Ron Vangas) Corner:

· No report

Old Business:

  • None

New Business/Discussion Items:

    1. Three scholarship applications received, disqualified one for lack of information (Later found out the information was sent to wrong address. Received it and will reinstate) Announcement will be at the April meeting
    2. Now that weather is improving, will plan some dinner rides. Maybe every other weekend and mix up between Saturdays and Sundays. A few possibilities: El Maguey-Winfield, Stearman Restaurant-Benton, Dinks BBQ-Bartlesville, Ol Stuga-Lindsborg
    3. Mulvane grade school sent over some Veteran Day cards that were made by the 4th grade. Will see if a ride to the school is possible so that we can thank the students personally. Will take the cards to VA during Banana Run.
    4. Clean-up of Patriot Guard Hwy will be April 21st

Floor opened to membership:

  • Rick Johnson made a motion to put the 50/50 back into the Building fund. Seconded by Viki Kalous. Motion carried

50/50: Collected $80.00 - half ($40.00) won by Gary Donaldson (Donated to the building fund)
