Chaplains Corner (Ron Herndon) Sick Call update:
- Pat and Linda Thacker’s niece, who is 1 year old, has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Please keep her and the family in your prayers
- Cub and Doug Grant had an accident coming home from RAGS. Doug had some stitches in leg and Cub had a fracture of his leg. Both are doing well now.
Veteran’s Coordinator (John Metz) :
- Next Banana Run will be August 4th
- Troop care packages will be sent out before Aug 19th. If you know of someone who is deployed, let John know. He has enough to send out to the one name that he has.
Co-Director’s (Jerry Berry) Corner:
- Read thank you note from Beth and Buz Nye for the flag line and escort for Beth’s brother.
Commander’s (RG Resser) Corner: (Not present) 1st Vice John Metz reported:
- August Legion meeting we will vote on whether the Post will to go no smoking throughout the facility.
S.A.L Commander’s (Jerry Armstrong) Corner:
- Hand gun raffle drawing will be at the August meeting. 150 tickets available at $10.00 each
- SAL will cook for the Old Settlers Horseshoe tournament start serving at 12 noon.
- Now accepting dues for 2014
Ladies Auxiliary President’s (Lori Metz) Corner: (not present) Deb Lynch reporting:
- Issue with writing one check for multiple memberships. Need to write one check to Auxiliary, one check to ALR, etc.
- Ready to kick off a big year
- Setting up window display for Old Settlers

Patriot Guard and Road Captain’s (Darkhorse) Corner:
- Received 21 bricks (14 KIA and 7 for members) Will set in near future

- Cripple Creek Salute to Veterans Aug 16, 17, 18

New Business/Discussion Items:
- Waiver form that needs to be signed is tabled until next meeting. Not sure we need the new forms.
- Tried Two Wheel Tuesday and only had 4 motorcycles rode. The time is a problem as many members work till 5:00. Will try a Saturday or Sunday ride.
- Sept 14th is our Annual Veterans Appreciation (committee volunteers: Diana Nelson, Doug Lehman, Rob and Jo Brown, Gio, Connie and Jerry Berry)
- Recognized July Birthdays: Doc, Connie Berry, Gio, Russ Sprague
- Jim Tashetta was married on July 4th
- Recognized Susan Lee for her recent promotion to Lt Col
Floor opened to membership:
- Red suggested that everyone bring a dish for breakfast before the August Banana Run. If you don’t bring a dish, there will be plenty of food anyway.
- Warren needs help picking up patio furniture from McConnell at 10:00 AM wed 17th.
- Post remodel will start on Sept 9th in the dining room converting over to the bar area. Need help on Sept 2nd to remove everything from the dining room. Hope to have finished by Thanksgiving.
- Rob Brown needs volunteers for Old Settlers booth: e-mail racereod@yahoo.com, or sign up book is on the counter in the bar area.
- Buz Nye has a handicap accessible van. Contact Buz if you know of a disabled Vet that could use it:

- Deb Lynch suggested donating school supplies to Mulvane Grade School. Brad Modlin indicated that the Casino donates $100.00 to each student. Ron will check with principal.
- Deb Lynch suggested a ride to the Ponca City Legion Post for Friday dinner or Saturday breakfast.
50/50: Collected $77.00 - half ($38.50) won by Papa-J (Donated to the Building fund)
